Your questions and our answers. Every message you send and every reply the assistant produces is stored, along with which service-manual sections were used to answer. This is how we tell whether the assistant is giving accurate, well-sourced answers.

Account details. You start anonymously with a randomly generated ID. If you sign in with Google we also store your email address and name, so we can contact you about the test.

Product analytics and session recordings. We use PostHog to record how the app is used, including screen recordings of your session and the text you type into the chat box. During an alpha this is the main way we find out where the product confuses people. Recordings are tied to your account ID.

Vehicle details. The make, model and year you select. Nothing that identifies a specific car — no VIN, no registration.

We don't sell or share your data, run advertising, or use it for anything other than operating and improving VoltWise AI. We don't ask for payment details.

Google Firebase (sign-in and database), Vercel (hosting and AI routing), Anthropic (the model that generates answers), and PostHog (analytics and recordings). Your questions are sent to Anthropic in order to answer them.

To make the product better. Reading real questions tells us where the assistant answers badly, which parts of the manual it fails to find, and which repairs people actually care about — and we change the product accordingly. Nothing here is used to profile you or target you with anything.

30days, then it's deleted automatically. That applies to stored chats and to session recordings. This is a test programme, not a permanent service — keep your own copy of anything you need.

Email myron@voltwiseai.app and we will delete your account and everything associated with it, send you a copy of what we hold, or turn off session recording for you. No explanation needed and no conditions attached.

If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we skip analytics and recording entirely.

You can also stop at any time. Chat history kept in your browser is cleared by clearing site data.

VoltWise AI can be wrong. It is not a substitute for a qualified technician, particularly on high-voltage systems. Verify against the manual before working on your car.
